With over 40 years of experience in international banking and finance, Mr. Lazaar has firmly established Swicorp’s reputation as an innovative provider of business solutions. Before founding Swicorp in 1987, Mr. Lazaar was Vice President of Citibank in North Africa and Europe, and part of the Citibank team that founded the Saudi American Bank (Samba) in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Lazaar is also the founder of the Maghreb Economic Forum (MEF) and an advocate in the promotion of Arab art and culture through the Kamel Lazaar Foundation. Mr. Lazaar holds an MBA from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Tunis and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Tunis.

From 1991 to 2007, Mr. Schenker developed a wide-ranging experience in international investment banking at Swicorp, with particular specialization in M&A and capital market transactions in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. From 2007 to 2012, Mr. Schenker held the CFO position. He became Group CEO from 2012 to early 2018, a position he resumed in mid-2019. Mr. Schenker graduated from the University of Geneva with a Master Degree in Finance and Economics.

Mr. Rey joined Swicorp in 1991. He has gained wide experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions, private placements and financial engineering. For a number of years, Mr. Rey covered non- GCC markets such as Egypt, Algeria and Turkey where he pioneered landmark transactions such as Danone and Henkel respective entries in Algeria. He then focused on GCC and KSA, handling some of the firm's large advisory accounts before rejoining the Private Equity and Investment Advisory division outside CMA’s scope. Mr. Rey graduated from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, with a Master degree in Finance and Economics.

Besides his directorship as Swicorp, Ziad Kanaan is the Chief Executive Officer at Palmbridge FZE, an advisory firm based in Dubai, UAE, advising clients on mergers and acquisition, debt and corporate restructuring, strategy, and special situations. Ziad is also a board member and chairman of the audit company for BHM Capital, a listed company on the Dubai Financial Market.

Mr. Tariq L. Ali is a partner of Gulf Banking Consultants WLL (Bahrain), the Partner/CEO of Tapco Holdings WLL (Bahrain) and a board member of Dabbagh Group (Saudi Arabia) and Bidaya Home Finance Company (Saudi Arabia). Mr. Ali has extensive international corporate finance and banking experience, having previously worked as Group Head of Corporate Finance at National Commercial Bank (NCB) of Saudi Arabia, the largest bank in the Arab world, and 20 years with Citibank where he held various positions within the corporate finance area in the US, the Far East and the Middle East.

In addition to his directorship at Swicorp, Mr. Bahareth is a Board member at AlShiaka (Dunia Al Aswaf Trading LLC) in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Bahareth is a Senior Director at SEDCO Holding, looking after Corporate Direct Investments. Previously, he was an Executive Director of Investments & IR at Savola Group.

Adel Merheb is a seasoned financial professional with over 15 years of experience in regional (Arabian Gulf) and global financial markets. He is currently the Chief Investment Officer of Al Fozan Holding in Saudi Arabia overseeing a wide spectrum of the company’s regional and global investments. Adel also serves as a board member on many of the Group’s operating entities and is part of the Chairman’s executive office. He began his career working in a start-up hedge fund and then moved to Dubai to work with the investment banking and capital market teams of leading financial institutions such as Mahsreq bank and Shuaa Capital p.s.c. Adel holds a bachelor degree from the American University in Beirut.
